Lane Bryant

B.R. Fries & Associates was engaged by Lane Bryant, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Suffern, N.Y.-based Ascena Retail Group Inc., to build their new 7,835 sq.-ft. flagship store in New York. Located on 34th Street, adjacent to Macy’s near Herald Square, the new store features an updated, modern look, with a grand staircase, and new mannequin styles and fixtures. The fitting rooms offer an adjustable light source that allows customers to change the lighting to “office,” “daylight” or “evening.” Lane Bryant operates 805 stores. The project involved a complete gut renovation of the space including new structural components, HVAC and plumbing systems, elevator, and custom millwork throughout the store. Other features of the renovation included: sheetrock ceilings throughout the space; a custom curved stainless steel staircase; and a state-of-the-art Lutron Dimming System with LED lighting. B.R. Fries worked around the clock to accommodate Lane Bryant’s compressed 14-week schedule.
