Target College Point, NY

The complete renovation of the 160,000 sq ft Target College Point store remained operational and required a two- shift, weekday schedule in order meet the completion date. This project was a new prototype for the Target Corporation and was a test-fit for concepts that will roll out in the future. This renovation featured the introduction to the Italian-manufactured red, acrylic Panelite system installed above the Check Out area— the first time this new finish was installed in any major renovation in the country. The reflective, honeycomb feature of the panels provide aesthetic appeal and also reduce the energy required for artificial lighting. The project also consisted of new department alignment, upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems and new flooring system.
