NYULH Hassenfeld Children's Hospital - Congenital Cardiac Ambulatory Care Relocation

B.R. Fries Construction was selected to complete the relocation and buildout of the Congenital Cardiac Ambulatory Care (CCAC) unit at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, a leading pediatric care facility within NYU Langone Health. This complex healthcare project involved multiple active hospital floors and required careful coordination to maintain uninterrupted clinical operations.

The scope of work included construction on both the 7th and 8th floors, transforming the space into a specialized cardiac care environment with both clinical and family-centered amenities.

 

Project Highlights – 7th Floor:

  • 2 exam rooms

  • 3 echocardiogram rooms

  • 2 intake/phlebotomy rooms

  • Clean supply and soiled holding rooms

  • Equipment storage and staff break areas

  • 2 patient restrooms

  • Construction of a family lounge and other ancillary support spaces

 

8th Floor Modifications:

  • Structural infill of the interconnecting stair between the 7th and 8th floors

  • Creation of 2 new administrative offices in the former stairwell footprint
