Esprit Flagship store, NYC

B.R. Fries was selected by Esprit, the international fashion and lifestyle brand, to construct its flagship retail store at 650 Fifth Avenue in New York City. The location—formerly a Barnes & Noble bookstore—required the renovation of 2½ floors, encompassing the concourse, ground floor, and mezzanine.

The retail build-out combined technical precision with architectural sophistication to reflect Esprit’s modern aesthetic. B.R. Fries refurbished the existing escalators and elevators, and installed new Brazilian wood and German tile flooring to elevate the store’s visual appeal and durability.

The project also included highly detailed ceilings, custom lighting systems, glass railings, and a raised platform in the sales area to create distinct visual zones. Complex finishes and wall coatings, as well as varying ceiling elevations within tight working conditions, required meticulous coordination and expert craftsmanship.

Through close collaboration with the design team, B.R. Fries successfully delivered a high-end retail environment that captured Esprit’s brand identity and enhanced the Fifth Avenue shopping experience.
