Target, Cross County Center, Yonkers NY

B.R. Fries completed a comprehensive interior installation for Target within an existing multi-tenant retail complex, one of the largest and most complex Target projects to date.

This ambitious three-level buildout required the installation of new escalators, cart conveyors, and both passenger and freight elevators. To accommodate the vertical transportation systems, the project involved the removal and structural reconfiguration of the building’s second and third floors, a significant engineering and construction achievement led by the B.R. Fries team.

Mechanical scope included the installation of 72 water-source heat pumps and a rooftop tower unit equipped with boilers and circulating pumps, ensuring optimal building performance and energy efficiency.

To support Target’s extensive food, grocery, and operations requirements, B.R. Fries installed sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including:

• Extensive commercial refrigeration systems for the store’s food service departments
• Coordinated electrical and control systems tied to Target’s proprietary back-of-house operations

The store featured Target’s signature grocery department, a full-service CVS Pharmacy, along with a Starbucks café.
