Target: full interior installation and fitout in Astoria, NY

B.R. Fries completed the full interior installation and fitout of a new two-level, 38,000-square-foot Target store in Astoria, NY. The project delivered a modern and inviting retail environment featuring a complete CVS Pharmacy, and an expansive clothing and accessories section, including Target’s signature grocery department.

The scope of work encompassed new and existing mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, electric, and refrigeration systems, integrated seamlessly to support the store’s complex multi-department layout. One of the project’s biggest challenges involved installing new escalators to connect the first and second floors. To achieve this, B.R. Fries carefully opened the existing concrete slab to create a vertical opening between levels and safely hoisted the escalators into position, all without extending the project’s completion schedule.

Through expert coordination, precision engineering, and efficient project management, B.R. Fries successfully delivered another Target store that embodies both the brand’s high standards and the company’s own commitment to excellence in retail construction.
